As a Cloud Advisor for Tapjoy, I will share what we’ve learned regarding OpenStack failures. And, most of those lessons have little to do with the technology or maturity underpinning OpenStack or the many components necessary to its deployment.
Tapjoy was one among a group of SaaS players who, early on, set their sights on OpenStack. Today, this leading player in the mobile app monetization space (2+million daily engagements; 270k+ active apps; 500m+ users/devices) has scaled to the point that they understand what it takes to be successful with OpenStack on a big stage.
I’ll be talking about the people, process and organizational choices that are necessary if your OpenStack is going to succeed. I’ll also cover the best ways to get the help you’ll definitely need from the community surrounding OpenStack.
